Contact Lens Types

Daily Disposable

Great for both occasional and full time wearers, these soft lenses are designed to be worn once and then thrown away. Each lens is sterile and packed individually to ensure safe and easy use.

This makes Dailies ideal for either full time or just social wear. They are perfect for sport too or even if you just fancy a break from your glasses.

Available for:
Short Sight, Long Sight, Astigmatism, Presbyopia (Varifocal).

2 Weekly/Monthly Disposable

These lenses are sometimes a better option for full time wearers as they are often available in a wider range of powers compared to daily disposables. Both 2 weekly and Monthly lenses require careful cleaning and overnight disinfection for successful wear but can often be a more cost-effective option. Modern re-usable lenses are made in highly oxygen permeable materials making them healthier and more comfortable than ever before.

Available for:
Short Sight, Long Sight, Astigmatism, Presbyopia (Varifocal, even Toric!).

Toric

Toric lenses are designed to correct astigmatism. Advances in lens technology have resulted in lenses that can not only correct your vision to a very high standard, but also provide excellent comfort and stability of vision. Even larger degrees of astigmatism can now be corrected with contact lenses so if you have been unsuccessful in the past maybe now we can find a lens for you.

Multifocal

Multifocal contact lenses are a great option for those people who now need reading glasses. Now both distance and near vision can be corrected in the one contact lens, even if you have Astigmatism!

Contact Lens Consultations & Aftercare

Every patient wishing to be supplied with contact lenses requires a specialist contact lens consultation in addition to the eye examination even if they are longstanding wearers. This is to ensure that the eyes are healthy and to take a series of special measurements to ensure the best possible fit. Complex contact lenses for astigmatism or presbyopia (multifocals) may have to be specially made.

Contact Lens Handling & Maintenance

Following the correct hygiene procedures is crucial to successful and safe contact lens wear. Comfort and performance will be affected if you extend the life of your lenses beyond the recommended replacement interval or if they are not cleaned and disinfected with the correct solutions. Wearing dirty or damaged lenses can put you eye health at risk.
